Awakened by Yoga: Heal your Inner Child
When Emotions Surface, True Healing Begins
Workshop facilitated in Bali and Lombok by Jacqueline Evers
Every year, many come to Bali for yoga—seeking stretch, breath, and serenity.
But as the body opens, so does the heart. Hidden emotions rise: grief, anger, shame, even long-forgotten joy.
Most retreats stop there.
You don’t have to.
This intimate workshop is your next step—a safe, guided space to meet your emotions, understand their roots, and release them with compassion.
No forcing. No bypassing. Just gentle, powerful inner child healing—in Bali’s warm embrace.
Transform what stirs within.
Leave lighter. Clearer. Whole.
Structure
- Guided visualisation; revealing childhood roles & unmet needs
- Reflective writing; to anchor insight
- Three live hypnotherapy demos (fishbowl style); volunteers receive individual healing while the group learns through resonance
- Collective Tonglen meditation; transforming pain into compassion (participants take home a daily practice card)
- Integration circle; Connection, closure, and community
Outcomes; what will emerge from the visualization reveals three key layers
- The Pain; Old emotional wounds or unmet needs from childhood.
- The Survival Strategy; The invisible role or behavior you took on to cope (e.g., peacemaker, protector, pleaser, or withdrawer).
- The Need; What the child version of you truly longed for (e.g., safety, being seen, love, rest, or freedom to feel).
Participants leave with:
- Clarity on childhood patterns still influencing today
- Direct emotional release (via demos or proxy healing)
- A practical self-compassion tool for lifelong use

Over the last 18 years, I have guided more than 1,450 clients from around the world toward lasting emotional healing and trained over 250 psychotherapists as a core faculty member at the Dutch Academy for Psychotherapy in Amsterdam. As a result, I bring a wealth of practical, trauma-informed tools shaped by cross-cultural experience and deep therapeutic expertise.
I love supporting people to reconnect with their inner child, release what no longer serves, and live with authentic confidence and emotional freedom—especially in Bali, where yoga and healing naturally open the heart.
I am currently solo sailing around the world, staying in Indonesia during the cyclone season.
